VIDEO: “CONVERSATION OF THE WEEK” ON TV7 WITH MPEU PROJECT MANAGER, MA TEODOR LAĐIĆ, 14 YEARS SINCE THE RESTORATION OF INDEPENDENCE OF MONTENEGRO
In the show “Conversation of the Week” on TV7 on the occasion of 14 years after the restoration of Montenegrin independence, MPEU representative Teodora Lađić, analyzed the past 14 years in terms of Montenegrin progress and development, challenges it faced and faces today and the current situation at the time of the COVID-19 pandemic, the global situation, the EU and the New Commission, as well as the Western Balkans and enlargement policy.
“The development of Montenegrin consciousness, thought and identity is the most significant development we can mention in this period.”
“During these 14 years, Montenegro has significantly developed and progressed in many fields, intensively changing and resolving several important issues, which would not have worked if there was no outside help through this good foreign policy positioning, but from 2006 to 14 years later Montenegro is still far from the defined goals that we thought we would have achieved after independence. ”
“After the referendum, the former Montenegro was full of enthusiasm and desire to prove and show statehood, often inexperienced in international appearances, with insufficient administrative capacity to present many processes, but with great motivation for great things. It was a period of setting the outline of the state, defining the direction of internal development and strategic commitment at the international level. Today’s Montenegro is facing a different challenge, based on 2006, it is now necessary to create overall growth and development, bring real changes in society, get out of the famous transition process and establish a high standard, European values and social cohesion. ”
