THE PRESIDENT OF THE PARLIAMENTARY COMMITTEE FOR EUROPEAN INTEGRATION HOSTED REPRESENTATIVES OF THE MONTENEGRIN PAN-EUROPEAN UNION

The chairman of the Parliamentary Committee for European Integration Adrijan Vuksanović held a meeting today with the representatives of the Montenegrin Pan-European Union: President prof. dr Gordana Đurović, Vice-Presidents Mr. Đorđe Raičević and Mr. Rajko Uskoković and Secretary General Mr. Vladan Lalović. President Vuksanović briefed the interlocutors on the responsibilities and activities of the Committee in the context of Montenegro’s accession to the European Union, and stressed that Montenegro is the only state in the region that has a positive practice of inclusion of civil society organizations in accession negotiations. As he said, the added value of this process is precisely the true commitment of all actors to the implementation of European principles and models of life in Montenegro. The President of the Montenegrin Pan-European Union Gordana Đurović presented the current activities of this organization, as well as plans for future projects in the field of economy, culture and information, in the context of the accession of Montenegro to the EU. She expressed the readiness of this organization for cooperation with state institutions, through consultations, organization of events and other activities of common interest. The participation of President Vuksanović was confirmed at the conference which is going to be held on the occasion of marking the first anniversary since the foundation of the Montenegrin Pan-European Union.
