PRESIDENT OF THE MONTENEGRIN PANEUROPEAN UNION GORDANA DJUROVIC AT THE EU – MONTENEGRO JOINT CONSULTATIVE COMMITTEE (JCC) MEETING

Members of the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) and representatives of the Montenegrin organised civil society held on the 1st March the 14th meeting of the EU-Montenegro Joint Consultative Committee (JCC). The President of the Montenegrin Pan-European Union and a member of the Montenegrin delegation to the Joint Consultative Committee (JCC), Gordana Djurovic, participated in this meeting. The JCC meeting discussed the current state of play in EU-Montenegro relations and the process of accession negotiations with the EU, the COVID-19 pandemic response and its consequences and the situation of civil society in Montenegro.

The meeting was opened by the Co-Chairs, Andrej Zorko and Pavle Radovanovic.

The Chief Negotiator Zorka Kordic, Head of the EU Delegation to Montenegro Cristina Oana Popa, Deputy Head of Unit for Montenegro at the Directorate-General for Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations Barbara Jesus Gimeno, Director of the Politikon Network Jovana Marovic, EC representative Tatiana Romon and representative of the EU Delegation to Montenegro Ana Mariguesa also participated in the meeting.

At the end of the meeting, the members of the EU-Montenegro Joint Consultative Committee adopted the Joint Declaration.

Prof. dr Gordana Djurovic prepared an Overview of the civil society situation in Montenegro and presentation.
