The Mayor of Cetinje, Aleksandar Bogdanović, received a delegation of the Montenegrin Pan-European Union, led by the President prof. dr Gordana Đurović. Expressing satisfaction with today’s meeting, Mayor Bogdanović and President Đurović discussed the establishment of cooperation and support for the future activities of the Montenegrin Pan-European Union.
Mayor Bogdanović pointed out that the accession of the Montenegrin branch to the Pan-European Union is an important moment, since it is an organization that for many years has inherited a fundamental European values, cherishing the principle of European solidarity and friendship among European states. He also informed his interlocutors about the activities of the Cetinje Municipality in the past periods, as well as about the projects that follow. He pointed out the achievements of the city administration in the sphere of international projects- stating that the Cetinje Capital is among the local administrations which, taking into account the number of inhabitants, is the leader looking at the amount of funds provided from the IPA funds.
The President Gordana Đurović thanked for hospitality and expressed hope for successful cooperation between the Montenegrin Pan-European Union and the Capital of Cetinje. She informed Mayor Bogdanović that the organization was founded in May of this year and that its goal is to help Montenegro in the path of Euro-Atlantic integration through its activities, but also to represent the interests of our country through its international contacts.
At the meeting, it was agreed to sign a memorandum of cooperation, which will be signed between the Capital of Cetinje and the Montenegrin Pan-European Union in the upcoming period. Within the delegation of the Montenegrin Pan-European Union, besides President Đurović, were present Vice President Đorđe Raicević, Secretary General Vladan Lalović, Coordinator of the Committee for Tourism, Ecology and Sustainable Development Đorđije Brajović and the President of the MPEU Youth Marko Simović.
