THE MONTENEGRIN PAN-EUROPEAN UNION ESTABLISHED COOPERATION WITH THE CAPITAL CITY

Today, President of the Montenegrin Pan-European Union prof. dr Gordana Đurović and Mayor of Podgorica Slavoljub Stijepović signed a Memorandum of Cooperation. Thus, President Đurović reminded that the Pan-European Union is the oldest European movement that affirms the connection of European countries and in which the original idea of a united Europe was founded. Considering the strategic goals of Montenegro and the role of Podgorica as its capital city, Đurović assessed that the Montenegrin Pan-European Union is building a partnership relationship both with the state and local institutions.

Mayor Stijepović expressed satisfaction that the Capital is a signatory of the Memorandum of Cooperation with the Montenegrin Pan-European Union. Furthermore, he assessed that this document represents a basis for establishing cooperation in the area of joint participation in projects within EU funds, as well as the organization of joint conferences, workshops, tribunes and similar events of importance for the capital city and the citizens of Podgorica.
