Minister of European Affairs Aleksandar Andrija Pejović and President of the Montenegrin Pan-European Union prof. dr Gordana Đurović signed on February 21th 2017 a Memorandum of Cooperation between the Ministry of European Affairs and the Montenegrin Pan-European Union. Hence, aware of the need for more intensive and quality cooperation between state administration bodies and civil society representatives in the implementation of activities aimed at better and more efficient presentation of citizens’ benefits and obligations arising from membership in the EU, as well as the tasks that Montenegro will face up to achieving full membership, they agreed that cooperation will be based on the principles of partnership and transparency.
The cooperation will be reflected in the implementation of projects of common interest in the field of European integration, such as the organization of joint conferences, workshops, public debates and similar events of public importance. Also, the signatories will ensure mutual exchange of information and participation in manifestations in which there is a common interest, and through joint and separately planned promotional activities to inform the public about their joint and individual activities related to the content of this Memorandum. The Ministry of European Affairs invites all interested institutions and civil society organizations to conclude a cooperation agreement in order to promote joint activities that will contribute to informing citizens about the EU and the process of Montenegro’s accession to the EU.
