President of the Montenegrin Pan-European Union, prof. Dr. Gordana Djurovic wrote an article for “Dnevne novine” on the European path of Montenegro and the current negotiations without a clear mechanism for monitoring progress and without clearly defined indicators.
“The Commission proposes the introduction of the so-called “Political intergovernmental conferences”, which would not open and close negotiation chapters, but would conduct a political dialogue on the rule of law and local economic and political crises. We will negotiate without negotiating chapters. By postponing the negotiations, the problem of different approaches to enlargement policy between member states is also postponed“.
