AMBASSADOR MOČNIK: SLOVENIA WILL CONTINUE TO SUPPORT MONTENEGRO ON ITS PATH TOWARDS THE EU

Slovenia has supported and will continue to support Montenegro on its path to the European Union, said the Ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia to Montenegro, Mitja Močnik, on the EU debate: “The current political moment in Europe: prospects for the continuation of EU enlargement to the countries of the region”. The Montenegrin Pan-European Union Youth had the opportunity to host the Ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia who spoke on the second in a conversation cycle on the subject of European integration with diplomatic representatives of European countries. Ambassador Močnik is optimistic about the EU enlargement, and the safest policy is to strengthen the sense of belonging to European identity. After a series of events in the world and in Europe, the EU can progress and respond to future challenges only if it is unique. As a special value of the Pan-European idea, he emphasized the principle of building bridges with neighboring countries. Key factors that affect the future of Montenegro towards the EU, he highlighted public support; importance of consensus and cooperation between all socio-political subjects. At the end of the presentation, Ambassador Močnik responded to numerous questions of the Montenegrin Pan-European Union Youth, as well as the invited guests.
